Reviewing and Submitting Inspections for Compliance

Inspection day is here - now what?

Recording outcomes and observations is the next step in the inspection process, allowing you to document any findings or issues identified during an inspection. To do this, simply click on the 'Outcome and Observations' tab after selecting an inspection. This opens a dedicated section where you can record all relevant information, ensuring that no important details are overlooked.

There are two sections you may enter information into on the screen that appears:

Inspection Outcome:

Inspection Outcome: Define the overall outcome of the inspection from the options on the pick list such as 'Passed' or 'Needs Review', based on the observations recorded.

Completion Date of the inspection can be entered here.

Final Notes: area to add any notes applicable to the inspection.

Recorded Observations

This section provides filtering options that allow you to select a specific Observation type from the available options: Note, Recommended Action, Required Action, Non Compliance, and Other. This feature enables you to focus on specific categories of observations and address them accordingly.

Add an Observation by clicking on the “+ Add observation” button.

In addition to the title, type, and description, you can also include asset location details if necessary. Simply click on the "Add observation" button to apply the observation to the Recorded Observations section. This will ensure that all relevant information is captured and recorded for compliance purposes.

Save and Send for Review

Once all observations are added and the inspection outcome is set, you can click on the 'Save & Send for Review' button. This will submit the inspection for review to the inspection owner. The inspection owner will then review the inspection and either approve or reject it. If the inspection is approved, it is considered complete and is added to the inspection history. If the inspection is rejected, the inspector needs to make the necessary changes and resubmit it for review.
