Service Provider Customer Management

Overview Service Provider Customer Management

We are excited to introduce the Service Provider Customer Management feature, designed specifically for utilities to efficiently manage non-domestic customers, focusing on liquid waste haulers and water protection testing service customers. This feature establishes a robust foundation for a broader utility management system, streamlining workflows for tracking and managing service providers in future updates.

Key Components

Liquid Waste Hauling Companies

  • Dedicated Profiles: Utilities can create dedicated profiles for liquid waste haulers, enhancing management capabilities.
  • Future Enhancements: Upcoming releases will include functionalities to manage and track liquid waste hauler permits and monitor manifests submitted by haulers.

Water Protection Testing Companies

  • Service Management: This feature allows for the management of companies responsible for essential water protection services, including backflow testing and cross-connection inspections.
  • Planned Developments: Future updates will enable utilities to track submissions from testers, ensuring comprehensive oversight of water protection activities

Service Provider Customer Creation

For utilities managing liquid waste haulers, the process of creating service provider profiles follows these steps:

  1. Activate the Feature: Ensure that the service provider customer management feature is activated in your environment by confirming with your CSM (Customer Success Manager).
  2. Create a New Customer:
    • Select Non-domestic as the customer type.
    • Choose Industrial Pretreatment as the program. This will prompt the appearance of a new option labeled Service Provider.
    • Select Liquid Waste Haulage Services from the dropdown menu.

For utilities managing water protection testing service companies, the steps are similar:

  1. Feature Activation: Confirm that the water protection program feature is enabled.  Confirm with your CSM (Customer Success Manager).
  2. Create a New Customer:
    • Select Non-domestic as the customer type.
    • Choose Water Protection as the program, triggering the Service Provider option.
    • Select Water Protection Testing Services (including Backflow, Cross Connections, Hydrants) from the dropdown.

Once the customer record is created, users will be directed to the Customer Profile page. The newly introduced Service Provider label will clearly distinguish these customers from other non-domestic accounts, facilitating easier management and tracking.

This feature represents a significant step forward in enhancing our service provider management capabilities, ensuring utilities can effectively oversee critical services related to liquid waste and water protection. Future updates will build upon this foundation, offering even greater functionality and support.
