This article provides a detailed guide on how to create General Tasks, manage Parent and Sub Tasks, and navigate through different views for working with tasks efficiently.
We have created the following video tutorial provides an overview of General task creation and the functionality of Parent and Sub Tasks. It also covers the various views that can be used to locate and manage your tasks.
Notes for items not mentioned in the video:
1. Closing Tasks and Stopping Overdue Notifications
Sub Task or Parent Task Status:
-
-
To stop receiving overdue notifications for a specific task (whether a Parent or Sub Task), you must set the task’s status to “Closed.”
-
Once the task is marked as closed, no further overdue notifications will be triggered for that particular task.
-
2. Recurring Tasks and Closing Individual Tasks
Impact of Closing Tasks in a Recurring Series:
-
-
When a task is part of a recurring series, marking an individual task as closed will only affect that specific instance of the task.
-
Closing the task does not affect or close other tasks in the recurring series. New tasks that are generated by the recurrence will remain open and active, and you will continue to receive notifications for these tasks until they are manually marked as closed.
