General Updates to the Industrial Discharge Permit Graphic User Interface for FOG Permits

In this release, we are excited to announce enhancements to the General Industrial Discharge Permit (GIU) to support better permitting interceptors for food service establishments managing a Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) program. These updates will streamline the permitting process and improve compliance tracking for FOG-related activities.

Key Updates

Regulated Assets

  • Interceptor Asset Selection: Users can now select and add an interceptor asset to the permit when creating or updating a permit for a customer facility. This is done through the Regulated Asset dropdown menu, making it easier to manage and associate permits with specific assets.

Types of Waste Permitted

  • Waste Type Selection: A new field has been introduced that allows users to specify the type of waste permitted for discharge under the GIU permit. This feature enhances clarity and compliance tracking regarding what waste is allowed.
  • Configurability: The Types of Waste field is configurable in the Tenant environment under Lookup Management, enabling customization based on specific regulatory or operational needs.

Asset (Discharge Points)

  • Optional Field: The discharge points field has been made optional for this type of permit, accommodating various use cases and providing flexibility in how permits are documented and managed.
